"PowerSeller Maida Webster Makes the Move

from Part-Time to Full-Time Thriving Business"

I had the pleasure of meeting What Do I SellŪ member Maida Webster and her husband after one of my presentations at eBay Live 2007 in Boston. When Maida joined What Do I SellŪ, she was already selling successfully in the collectibles niche. (And Maida is very skilled in this niche). Her passion and dedication to continually improving her eBay business has enabled her to take the strategies at What Do I SellŪ, and put them into action, giving her the recipe for success to take her part-time business into a thriving full-time business. And most importantly - she is having a ball doing it! -Lisa Suttora Founder/CEO What Do I SellŪ

Although my part-time Ebay business had been good, once I decided to go full-time with my eBay business, I took Lisa's suggestions to heart, and completely revised my listing template and approach. I now have much clearer listings, a more professional presence on eBay, and sales have increased to reflect that.

"From an eBay Hobbyist to a

Growing PowerSeller Business"

I started as many do on eBay, as a buyer, enjoying all the time the search for great items. It wasn't until I had an injury that kept me out of work, did I start selling. I started out with small items around my home and gradually built up to listing bigger and more expensive items. I did so well, I seriously thought of turning my hobby into a real business. Where to start was my question? I did not know what steps to take and how. I even reviewed some information from a Small Business Development seminar I had attended but it just was too vague, especially where it concerned e-commerce and eBay.

This is when I found What Do I SellŪ. I found one of their presentations on eBay and could tell immediately that they had the information that I was looking for. It was just what I needed to start up my business and it was ALL EBAY RELATED! That weekend I signed up and read and listened to as much as I could. The next week I registered my business, starting locating suppliers and had my store plan in place. Within the month, I opened a basic store, doing all the set-up myself following all the tips and information from WDIS. My first month of store operation I was able maintain my Power Seller status. I now have a network of suppliers and am looking to expanding my inventory with the profits from my store. I now am looking forward to using more tips and suggestions from WDIS to build up my store and sales to the point where I can replace much of my previous income.
